ICT Young Explorers competition
Young ICT Explorers is a competition for school students to produce their best Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) related project. The competition is open to all student Year 3-12.
Students can compete in project teams of up to 4 students. The scope of the competition is broad to encourage as much creativity as possible through the use of ICT. Projects might come under some of the following subject areas:
- Science
- Engineering
- The Environment and Sustainability
- Business
- Entertainment
Projects in previous competitions have included some of the following:
- iPhone/mobile phone applications
- Computer games
- Websites
- Digital media
- Short films and animations
- Robots
Schools must register by 26 May 2014. All teams must submit their project documents by the 7th July 2014.

Young Scientist Awards
Attention Design and Technology teachers!
The Young Scientist Awards now includes a Models and Inventions section for Years K-12.
The invention is to be presented as a working model that your student designs and builds with an accompanying logbook or folio documenting background research and the inventing process, from brainstorming to final design, through construction to final product, testing and evaluation.
