Safety and technology syllabuses
Technology syllabuses from the Science and Technology K-6 syllabus through to Stage 6 elective technology syllabuses require students to learn about safety and to implement safe practices in their work.
The new Years 7–10 technology syllabuses include outcomes and content specifically focusing on safety. The following table provides some examples.

| Graphics Technology Years 7–10 | 5.5.1: A student identifies, assesses and manages relevant OH&S factors to minimise risks in the work environment 5.5.2: A student demonstrates responsible and safe work practices for self and others |
| Industrial Technology Years 7–10 | 5.1.1: A student identifies, assesses and manages the risks and OH&S issues associated with the use of a range of materials, hand tools, machine tools, equipment and processes 5.1.2: A student applies OH&S practices to hand tools, machine tools, equipment and processes |

Likewise Stage 6 technology syllabuses have outcomes and related content that focus directly on safety.
