Professional Teachers Council NSW
Established in 1973 as a voluntary, non-profit making organisation the Professional Teachers' Council is the peak body for professional teachers' associations in NSW with 47 member associations. Professional Teachers' Council (PTC) represents teachers at all levels of the education system, early childhood to tertiary, in both government and non-government sectors and in all Key Learning Areas. It provides an independent and non-partisan forum for the discussion of education policy and has a commitment to the professional development of teachers and to enhancing the professionalism of teachers and education in New South Wales.
